One is getting old but hasn’t found a man or woman and therefore, tries out the dating sites to come across one. Most sites charge a fee and this is fine if there’s assurance that you will finally get a companion. Instead, you get those connections of people who work for those sites and aren’t serious at all but buying time probably, as your subscription fee expires from year to year. If they really do connect you, it will be their brother or sister and a quarrel happens between the two of you that eventually closes the chapter. Funny happenings in this world!
Looking for online jobs in vain!
You seek for online jobs on transcription, proofreading, writing letters and resumes/curriculum vitaes in vain. These sites have an implication in order to get a job from them.
First, you register, second you give them your bank account details and even open up a paypal account. As soon as all this is done, you are requested to pay a certain fee in order to get jobs faster. Imagine, they have already told you that registration is for free! You might have witnessed those endless tests that you keep failing, even when you are sure the responses are correct. One major observation is on the typing jobs or data entry jobs. All tests are for data entry but inwardly you are doing their work for free in the name of data entry tests. Tiring, tiring, tiring! You can just imagine, looking for an online job for almost 10 years and trying not to give up because you have been groomed that way.
Not having work yet employed!
It’s a feel that anyone wouldn’t like to go through. You wake up early in the morning to dodge traffic jam, hence in office by 8:00am East African time. Spend the whole day in office with no work at all! Being a statistical office, it’s only statisticians who have got lots of work like going to the field to collect data, coming back to analyse it and have it disseminated, among others. You try to create your own work but it isn’t there at all. One gets bored yet the monthly salary is needed. It is quite a challenging situation?
Awaiting God’s response
When you ask God for something and it takes long to happen, what do you do? Well, I tend to pause for a day or week and then resume praying for it. Other times, you can’t even hesitate to stop praying for it because you badly need it. This does not mean that God doesn’t give without being asked to. At times, you think that you won’t pray for it again but realize, without God, you won’t have it.
In order to get a thing, it’s necessary to ask God for it as you also find avenues to assist you get what you need.
Running a non stable business
Ever felt angry when you go to your shop or business daily and don’t make any money in a day? How about if you make less than a dollar in a day? Does it give hope to continue with business? I am just stuck in there keeping the faith that things will get better and yet the shop rent has to be paid monthly. This requires looking for rent money anywhere else!
Cleaning the Vagina (female genital part)
The vagina is used for passing out urine, blood during menstruation period, having sex and giving birth to a child. Since we are adolescents, there is no need to involve ourselves in sex and it’s after effects like the venereal diseases, HIV/AIDS and many other reasons until you have established yourself as a married person. Before you indulge in sex with someone, ensure that you go for an HIV/AIDS and other related tests so that you are sure to be safe from all of them. Yes, the condoms may be there, but note that they are not 100% safe for all diseases or even pregnancy.
Your female genital part is kept clean by washing it with your full hand while squatted or standing (if you are bathing while using a shower). It is recommended by doctors that the vagina should not be washed with soap but plain water because it has its own natural way of cleansing itself.
However, the labia minora (inner lips of the vagina) and the clitoris (apex of your vagina) tend to have smegma (this is a coating that sometimes builds in these two areas) that is not easily washed off until you use a face-towel or bear hands, with mild soapy water as you rub it off. Clean water is then used to rinse it of any remains of the soapy water.
Any adolescent who is still in her puberty stage does not need to wash the labia minora or the vagina with soapy water unless she feels any coating there. She should use only water. It is only her pubic area that needs to be scrubbed with a sponge or face-towel filled with soap and water and then rinsing the area with clean water. During our periods, the vagina in particular, the hole tends to enlarge a bit because of the frequent release of blood. It is, hygienic when washing to dupe (insert) your longest finger and remove what you can as the rest gets out on it’s own. Then rinse well.
At times, there is a coating that appears on our underwear and this helps to alert us whether we are fine or have got an infection. The normal substance is white-thick or at times mucus-like, while the abnormal one resembles spoilt milk. If it is abnormal and you also tend to itch around the the vagina, this calls for attention from a doctor.
The pubic hair which is grown all around the vagina is washed with the help of a sponge or face-towel together with soap and water in order to remove any dirt or sweat. It is always a must to clean the pubic area the same way you do with your armpits or head because they all get dirty. That is why we wake up every morning to wash our bodies and then wash them again in the evening!
After a thorough bath, we oil the rest of the body but towards the private parts, we tend to pose and go slow because some doctors don’t allow us to oil those areas since the areas are always cleansing themselves. However, besides the private parts, oil the areas like the upper thighs downwards, your buttocks and the upper part of the body including your face. At night or evening, we don’t oil the body for the purpose of allowing it to relax from oils. After every bathing or washing of our bodies, we need to dry them including the private parts with either a towel or a cloth that you have assigned as your towel and then oil the body with body oil or vaseline.
Shaving the Pubic hair
Shaving your pubic hair is done by the use of a few items like the razor blade, scissors, shaver or use of shaving cream. Use the shaving cream strictly to the hairy part! It takes between five and ten minutes to have the hair ready for removal. Pregnant girls or women are supposed to visit pharmacies to acquire the right cream for hair removal as some creams may affect their babies and hence cause a miscarriage. Adolescents shouldn’t get pregnant while pursuing their education!
If you can’t afford a shaving cream, then use water mixed with soap to soften the pubic hair and then shave with a razor blade or a shaver. After that, rinse the area completely free from the soapy water with clean water to avoid irritation of the soap incase you are cut. For some of us who use razor blades or shavers, we need to stand or squat within a certain angle of convenience and then start shaving. When you are through with the shaving, wash and dry the private parts, embark on cleaning the items and facility that were used to shave. Don’t forget to wash well the sponge or face-towel that you have used to clean your genital parts with soap and also clean the area or bathroom you have used after bathing.

Taking care of the Genital (Private) parts
Many of us are familiar with our genital parts commonly known as private parts and the areas around them. I don’t want you to be like some young people who are not familiar with their private parts because they fear even looking at them or touching them while they wash! Get time and look at your private parts and then you will be able to easily clean them.
The area where hair grows in the private parts is called the pubic area and the hair is the pubic hair. We have the male part called the penis and the female part called the vagina. Both parts assist in passing out urine. The other part is the anus through which we pass out faeces (excretion).
We need to know that each time we pass out urine, there is need to wipe the area with either a piece of clean toilet paper or to wash the area like the Muslims do each time they go to ease themselves. The purpose of wiping these areas is to prevent our panties or underwear from smelling urine that eventually extends to the dress or trouser. You wouldn’t wish to be told by the courageous person that you smell urine when you bypass them! Remember that a person may pass out urine almost two to four times a day depending on how much fluid they have drunk.
At times, excess passing out of urine may be an indicator of having an infection in one’s penis or vagina. Some of these infections are got from using dirty basins that are not washed well with soap before use or having had sex with an infected person and also, using flush toilets that are not well cleaned.

Washing our bodies in the morning and evening entails us to pay more attention to our genital parts. Ensure that the pubic area where hair grows around the penis is scrubbed with a sponge or face-towel rinsed in soap and water, to remove any sweat or other dirt that may have developed there. Don’t assume that the area is not dirty. It is just like any other part of the body that we wash when we take a bath. Rinse the area fully with clean water.

For some of us who use razor blades or shavers, we need to raise one of the legs to a certain angle of convenience and then start shaving. Thereafter, it is necessary to rinse the area with water, soap and sponge to keep the area clean and fresh. All this helps your private parts from feeling sticky or smelling funny.
While washing the penis, this needs special attention. Wash the penis head (glans) and foreskin to remove smegma (this is a coating that sometimes settles at the head and foreskin of the penis). You will need to pull back the foreskin of the penis so that you can wash the area clean with water. Although the doctors advise us to use water only, at times the smegma can completely be removed by the help of atleast mild soapy water and then rinsing it clean water.
If you are still in your puberty stage (need more research on this; not sure whether the virgins clean the penis and virgin in the same way), you don’t need to stretch your foreskin until you have finished puberty stage but can wash the area with only water as you take a bath.
Unlocking/locking gadgets and Sound-proof detectors?
Dear Colleagues, I really need your advice. I stay in a flat and my neighbour has recently acquired one. The annoying thing happening to me is that each time, I am locking my bedroom doors, something holds it back from locking for sometime. Each time it happens, my neighbour is in the know and I have to wait for him/her to release the lock so that I can lock my door (knob & key double lock). I also have a slide door that you push to one end and to the other; each time I push it closed; a gadget makes it acquire extra-ordinary (loudest) noise that affects other neighbours in the community.
I may not have the gadgets they are using to annoy me especially when I am in a rush to leave for office but I would be grateful for advice that can help me lock my doors in peace. Thank you.
